When the female police officers entered for the first time in the policing, the reception was not at all adequate from the male officers. The women felt unequal in the police department. This can be considered as a serious issue of discrimination. On the other hand, the black women were treated poorer in the police department as they were considered as double minorities. From the researches, it has been observed that the female officers have received a hostile reception in most of the cases from the male officers (Novak et al. 2017).
